All colored materials will experience some color change when exposed to UV light, depending on factors like the color, aspect, structure design, and environment. Darker colors tend to show more noticeable changes than lighter ones.

COLORBOND® steel is thermally efficient, helping to lower cooling and heating costs. In summer, it reduces heat radiation into the home, and in winter, it helps retain heat when properly insulated. Choosing lighter colors can further improve thermal performance.

Generally, metal roofs withstand hailstorms well. While indentations may occur, they usually do not affect the structural integrity or lifespan of a COLORBOND® steel roof. However, significant indentations on low-pitch roofs can cause ponding and dirt accumulation, which may promote corrosion. Damaged sheets should be replaced promptly to maintain the roof's longevity.
